At the start of operation of the travel control device (100), if the position of the host vehicle (V1) and the position of another vehicle (V2) as the avoidance object have a predetermined proximity relationship, the region setting function sets the object region (R) of the other vehicle (V2) to be smaller than when the position of the host vehicle (V1) and the position of the other vehicle (V2) do not have the predetermined proximity relationship.
