An intelligent polarity detection apparatus and method for a four-star type voltage transformer. The apparatus comprises a primary side unit (1) and a secondary side unit (2). The primary side unit (1) comprises an excitation power module (11), a control module (12) and a wireless communication module (13). The excitation power module (11) outputs a pulse voltage when used. The secondary side unit (2) comprises a subtracter (21), an operational amplifying module (22), an amplitude limiting circuit module (23), an AD acquisition module (24), a first single-chip microcomputer processing module (25), a first RS232 communication module (26), a second wireless communication module (27) and a handheld terminal (28). The handheld terminal (28) comprises a touch screen (28-1) and a second single-chip microcomputer processing module (28-2). The detection method mainly includes that wires are connected at a time and electrified, the touch screen (28-1) is operated so that a detection command is sent, the primary side unit (1) receives the command and outputs the pulse voltage, and the secondary side unit (2) acquires the secondary side output voltage of the four-star type voltage transformer, makes a judgment according to a set duty ratio criterion and displays a result. The technical solution is simple in structure, convenient to operate, high in adaptability, simple in criterion logic and high in reliability of the judgment result.
