Provided are an identity configuration method and equipment. The method comprises: receiving, by a device management server (DMS), an identity of a device where a target node is located, wherein the identity is sent by the target node; sending, by the DMS, the identity of the device where the target node is located to an underlying network entity to enable the underlying network entity to obtain a machine-to-machine external identity (M2M-Ext-ID) of the target node according to the identity of the device where the target node is located; receiving, by the DMS, the M2M-Ext-ID of the target node, which is sent by the underlying network entity; and sending, by the DMS, the M2M-Ext-ID to the target node to enable the target node to obtain a correspondence between the M2M-Ext-ID and a pre-set common service entity-identity (CSE-ID) according to the M2M-Ext-ID and the CSE-ID, wherein the correspondence is sent to an infrastructure node when the target node initiates a registration to the infrastructure node. The technical solution provided by the embodiments of the present invention is used for ensuring that the underlying network entity can route a trigger message to the target node. |
