In this context, the present invention provides a system and a method for controlling air flow in a refrigerator, capable of directing the air flow completely from a first chamber (10) into either of two other chambers (20), (30) as a result of different opening positions of a single damper (60). In addition, the air flow from the first chamber (10) to at least one of the other two chambers (20), (30), preferably to both chambers simultaneously, can be cut off in that the damper (60) is closed.
