PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge and discharge device capable of grasping connection of a vehicle with a charger on charger side without performing communication between the vehicle and the charger by turning on a relay.SOLUTION: A charge and discharge device, having a charging and discharging unit 2 for delivering and receiving electric power to/from a storage battery mounted on an electric vehicle 1 or the like, includes: a connector 3 connected with a charging and discharging plug 13 provided on the storage battery; a cable 4 connecting the connector 3 with the charging and discharging unit 2; and a connection detector 23 for detecting that the cable 4 connects the plug 13 with the charging and discharging unit 2, and controls the charging and discharging unit 2 on the basis of an output of the connection detector 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
