Disclosed is a synchronization signal transmitting method, comprising: a transmitting-end device determines a first signal, where the transmitting-end device works in a serving cell, the first signal comprises a first synchronization sequence, the first synchronization sequence is: a sequence produced from a special ZC sequence that undergoes a circular shift by a first digit and then either dot-multiplied or conjugate-multiplied with a characteristic sequence, the special ZC sequence is a ZC sequence having a root index of either +1 or -1, and the characteristic sequence and/or the first digit correspond a cell identity of the serving cell; and, the transmitting-end device transmits the first signal to a receiving-end device to allow the receiving-end to synchronize on the basis of the first signal. Provided in embodiments of the present invention, the synchronization signal transmitting method allows implementation in M2M technology the employment of a ZC sequence having a root index of either +1 or -1 for signal synchronization. Also provided in the embodiments of the present invention are a related synchronization signal receiving method, the transmitting-end device, and the receiving-end device. |
