Disclosed is a rotary engine, comprising at least a set of combustion chambers (22) arranged around a steam turbine (2). A movable plate (23), which can rotate 90 degrees to protrude from the periphery of the steam turbine, is provided at the front end of an opening of the combustion chamber. Each side of the movable plate is provided with a rim (28) which is on the steam turbine, thus forming at least a group of square grooves (31). At least a sliding block (3) is provided on the peripheral edge of the rim on the steam turbine. The front end of the intrados of the sliding block thereon is provided with a square cylinder (26), the rear thereof to the end being open so as to form the combustion chamber together with the movable plate and the square groove. |
