摘要 An image border recognition method, device and display panel, used to effectively recognize whether an image has a border and identify the direction of the border; the recognition method comprises: receiving image information to be recognized to form a matrix of grayscale parameter values, and dividing the matrix of grayscale parameter values into an n × n matrix and an (n + 2) × (n + 2) matrix centered around the greyscale parameter value corresponding to a sub-pixel unit to be processed (S101); in the n × n matrix and the (n + 2) × (n + 2) matrix, determining a minimum gradient value and a minimum standard difference value in a row direction, in a column direction, in a first diagonal direction and in a second diagonal direction of the greyscale parameter value corresponding to the sub-pixel unit to be processed, and determining a dispersion relative to the minimum standard difference value and dispersion relative to the minimum gradient value (S102; S103); when the determined dispersion is greater than N times of a corresponding minimum value, outputting a first code value; when the determined dispersion is less than N times of the corresponding minimum value, outputting a second code value (S104); and according to the outputted code values, determining whether the image to be recognized has a border, and the direction of the border if present (S105).
