An archive control system that performs an estimation process including a determination process for determining, on the basis of one or more registered set schedules, whether or not processes satisfying a requested schedule received from a user interface unit can be performed by a first archive device having a plurality of resource units (RU). The requested schedule indicates requested processes and requested execution periods for those processes. Each set schedule indicates one or more RUs to be used for processes according to the set schedule, a period of use each of the one or more RUs, and an amount of use of each of the one or more RUs. The determination is made on the basis of a comparison between the period of use of each of the one or more RUs used in the requested process, and the requested execution period. On the basis of the results of the estimation process, the system performs a registration process for newly registering a set schedule for processes satisfying the requested schedule. |
