When a static frequency converter (SFC) is connected to synchronous generator armature windings, the d-axis winding and q-axis winding of an AC exciter constitute a dq orthogonal axis to AC-excite the AC exciter. During the steady operation of a synchronous generator, the alternating current supplied from a power supply is rectified by a thyristor excitation device and the d-axis winding and the q-axis winding are connected in series to DC-excite the AC exciter. |
