Disclosed is a hood latch for a vehicle. The present invention provides a hood latch for a vehicle, capable of opening a hood of the vehicle only by manipulation of a user in a vehicle. The hood latch for a vehicle according to the present invention includes: a base fixed to a vehicle frame and including a moving groove unit guiding the movement of a striker; a latch gear controlling the striker coming inside through the moving groove unit by being rotationally installed on the base; a first foul rotationally installed on the base and controlling the rotation of the latch gear by being engaged with the latch gear at a complete locking position of the striker; a second foul rotationally installed on the base and controlling the rotation of the latch gear by being engaged with the latch gear at a center locking position of the striker; and a power transfer unit which moves to a position facing the second foul by sliding along the first foul firstly rotating to be separated from the latch gear at the complete locking position of the striker, and rotating the second foul to be separated from the latch gear by being engaged with second rotation of the first foul. |
