A reversible hand bag has a first pocket 11 having a top opening 12 lightly closed by a magnetic buttons 34 and a second pocket 13 adjacent the first pocket. The second pocket 13 has an upper opening that can be closed off by a zip closure 15. The bag can be turned inside out to bring it from a first, non-reversed configuration in which it has a first appearance, to a second "reversed" configuration in which it has a second appearance. In each configuration of the bag, the bag presents a large pocket 11 which is easily accessed and another large zipped pocket 13 adjacent to the large pocket 11 which is more secure.
