PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide monoclonal antibodies that bind to human tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) associated with treatment or prophylaxis of bleeding episodes or coagulative treatment.SOLUTION: A therapeutic composition comprises a human monoclonal IgG antibody that specifically binds to a binding site including the Kunitz domain 1 and the Kunitz domain 2 of TFPI, where the human monoclonal IgG antibody exhibits inhibition of 50% or more of TFPI activity. Also provided are a method of producing the antibody, pharmaceutical compositions containing the monoclonal antibody, and a method of treating blood coagulation deficiencies or defects by administering the antibody.SELECTED DRAWING: None
