PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jukebox device that has a user interface corresponding to a new digital age and has higher profitability.SOLUTION: A jukebox system 10' comprises a central server 12, a communication network 14, remote jukebox devices 16, 16a-16f, and local servers 22, 22a-22f. The central server includes a master library of music. Each of the jukebox devices includes a portion of the master library in a local storage unit. The central server monitors a utilization rate of music of each jukebox to update some of the music, and manages contents individually. Data is regularly received from each of the jukeboxes, for the calculation and payment of royalties on played music.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
