PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piping inspection apparatus and a piping inspection method that enable improvement of convenience in piping inspection.SOLUTION: According to one embodiment, a piping inspection method includes supplying electric power to an ultrasonic optical probe attached to a pipe by using wireless power supply or energy harvesting. The method further includes inputting ultrasonic waves of an ultrasonic wave oscillator in the ultrasonic optical probe to the pipe and inputting a laser beam to an optical fiber sensor in the ultrasonic optical probe. The method yet further includes detecting from the pipe the laser beam transmitted through the optical fiber sensor which the ultrasonic waves have reached from the pipe and determining a state of the pipe on the basis of detected results of the laser beam.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
