PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide adjuvants that help boost an immune response while being non-toxic and that do not induce any severe side effects.SOLUTION: For enhancing an immune response to foreign antigens, a composition comprising a vaccine, preferably a pneumococcal vaccine, and arabinogalactan from a larch as an adjuvant is administered before, during and after the phase of exposure to the foreign antigens in a liquid or solid form, preferably in a form of a functional beverage or functional food, such as bars and breakfast cereals, or as a dietary supplement, such as capsules, tablets, dry powder blends or premixes.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
