The invention relates to a static mixer, in particular for use for high-temperature chemical processes and as a combustion zone of a pore burner, comprising an open pore structure which is formed in a pore element and which comprises interconnected pores. The pore structure is made of intersecting material rods of a three-dimensional pore element grid structure made of the material rods, and the pores are formed by intermediate spaces formed between the material rods. The invention further relates to a method for producing a pore element for a static mixer.
