PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating a cancer by combination with a cancer therapy with an oncolytic vaccinia virus.SOLUTION: A method for treating a cancer in a subject to whom a poxvirus therapy is previously administered comprises administering an effective amount of an anti-angiogenic agent. The anti-angiogenic agent is preferably a kinase inhibitor that inhibits the Raf kinase pathway, and preferably sorafenib or sutent.
