CONTROL LINE RUNNING SYSTEM A method of securing a control line (300) to a tubular (105), comprising: providing a gripping device (10) having a first gripping portion (318) and a second gripping portion (319); gripping a first clamp portion (318) of a clamp (312) using the first gripping portion (318) and gripping a second clamp portion (319) of the clamp (312) using the second gripping portion (318); moving the gripping device (10) and the clamp (312) toward the tubular (105); and closing the first and second clamp portions (318, 319) around the control line (300) and the tubular (105) by moving the first gripping portion (318) toward the second gripping portion (319).
