A purpose of the present invention is to provide a display apparatus which can increase a display quality. The display apparatus comprises: a display panel including a first sub-pixel having a first main color, a second sub-pixel having a second main color, and a transparent sub-pixel; a display panel driving unit for setting gray scale data of the first sub-pixel, the second sub-pixel, and the transparent sub-pixel; a light source unit including a plurality of light emitting blocks for providing light to the display panel, wherein each of the light emitting blocks includes a first light source for generating combined color light, and a second light source for generating a third main color; and a local dimming driving unit for alternately turning on the first light source and the second light source, and independently driving the light emitting blocks.
