<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device capable of detecting whether there is a deviation in laser light focus from the interface between transparent members when joining the transparent members together by irradiating the interface with laser light. <P>SOLUTION: A laser irradiation device 100 includes a joining laser 102 for irradiating transparent members 101a, 101b put one over the other with laser light, and a measurement section 103 for photographing the transparent members 101a, 101b from an end face side. A deviation in focus of the joining laser 102 from the interface can be detected by determining that light emission is caused at a point on the opposite side from the focus across the interface in addition to light emission at the focus of the joining laser 102 from an image photographed by the measurement section 103 during the laser irradiation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
