摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular drive device in which more fuel economy improvement effect can be obtained.SOLUTION: A vehicular drive device 1 comprises a motor 13 which is connected to an axle 11 of a vehicle, an inverter 14 which is electrically connected to the motor, rotation number detection means 15 which detects the rotation number rof the motor 13, and control means 17. And, the control means 17 detects the rotation number r, and, if the deceleration &Dgr;r (=1-r/r) obtained through dividing the rotation number rby the last-time rotation number rand subtracting the quotient from one is equal to or less than a specified allowable deceleration &Dgr;r, regeneration by the motor 13 is implemented and fuel cutting during deceleration is implemented. On the other hand, if the deceleration &Dgr;r becomes larger than the allowable deceleration &Dgr;r, the motor 13 is switched from the regeneration to power running so that the deceleration &Dgr;r becomes equal to the allowable deceleration &Dgr;r, and the fuel cutting during deceleration is stopped. If the motor 13 stopping condition is established, the power running of the motor 13 is stopped.
