<p>2-(31-carboxyphenylamino) -4:5:6-trichloropyrimidine is made by heating sodium 3-aminobenzoate with 2:4:5:6-tetrachloropyrimidine in aqueous alcohol. 2-(41-carboxyphenylamino) -4 : 6-dichloropyrimidine is made by heating sodium 4-aminobenzoate with 2:4:6-trichloropyrimidine in aqueous alcohol. 2-(41-carboxyphenylamino) -4- methyl -6- chloropyrimidine is made by heating 4-aminobenzoic acid with 2:6-dichloro -4- methylpyrimidine.ALSO:The invention comprises vat dyes which contain at least four rings fused together or at least two anthroquinone residues and at least one sulphatoalkylamino group directly bound to a pyrimidine nucleus or to a halogen-free triazine residue itself bound through an -NH- bridge, and in which the alkyl chain of the sulphatoalkylamino group may be interrupted by nitrogen or oxygen. The dyes may be of the aroylamino-anthraquinone, anthraquinone - acridone, isothiazole anthraquinone, anthropyrimidine, acedianthrone, dianthrimidecarbazole, anthrapyridone, dibenzanthrone, isodibenzanthrone, anthanthrone, benzanthrone, flavanthrone, pyranthrone, dibenzpyrenequinone and anthraquinonyl-oxazoleanthraquinone series. The dyes are made by sulphating the corresponding dyes containing at least one hydroxyalkylamino group. Examples are given. The dyes vat-dye and print textile materials of natural or regenerated cellulose.</p> |
