The present invention relates to a Gluconacetobacter pear 284 strain which is a novel microorganism belonging to Gluacetobacter sp. isolated from pear juice, and to a method for manufacturing cellulose gel by using the strain. The novel Gluconacetobacter sp. pear 248 strain provided in the present invention is used in manufacturing of vegetable cellulose from a fruit byproduct such as pear juice, pear pomace, etc. thereby being used in the production and development of various functional cosmetics or sanitary aids using vegetable cellulose.
