TEMPERATURE SENSOR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF

The present invention relates to a temperature sensor and, more specifically, relates to a temperature sensor measuring the temperature of an exhaust gas. According to the present invention, the temperature sensor comprises: a temperature transducer having a thermosensitive unit, and a pair of electrode wires extended from the thermosensitive unit; an M. I. cable having a core wire combined with the electrode wire and sheath including the core wire; and a protective tube accommodating the temperature transducer and a junction unit, combined with the sheath. A concave groove is formed longitudinally on an end of the core wire in a longitudinal direction of the core wire, and an end of the electrode wire mounted onto the concave groove of the core wire. According to the present invention, the method to manufacture a sensor for high temperature provides high assembly accuracy of the electrode wire and the core wire, and obtains the temperature sensor with strong durability in a connection part of the electrode wire and the core wire.
