Introduced is a method and a system for controlling a cam position of a continuous variable valve timing (CVVT) engine. To this end, the invention comprises a step in which proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control is enabled to compensate for an error which is a difference between a cam position measurement value and a set target value of a cam, and a step of compensating for a learning value according to proportional-integral control among the PID control with a set reference value when the cam position measurement value reaches the set target value during the PID control. The system can prevent the abnormal position of a cam. |
