PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a foreign matter between a power transmission device and a power reception device and to suppress power loss due to the foreign matter detection in a power transmission system for transmitting power from the power transmission device to the power reception device in a non-contact manner.SOLUTION: A vehicle 100 comprises a power reception unit 110 and foreign matter detection sensors 150A and 150B. A power transmission device 200 comprises a high-frequency power source 220 and a power transmission unit 230. The power reception unit 110 receives power transmitted from the power transmission unit 230 in a non-contact manner. The foreign matter detection sensors 150A and 150B detect a foreign matter between the power transmission unit 230 and the power reception unit 110. The foreign matter detection sensors 150A and 150B start in conjunction with a start of power transmission from the power transmission unit 230 to the power reception unit 110, and stop in conjunction with a stop of power transmission. |
