Described is a rectal cutting device for cutting loose the rectum of a slaughtered animal, comprising: a cutting member (10) rotatably mounted on a carrying member (200), which cutting member comprises a cylindrical wall (ll)portion surrounding an interior space (12), wherein the cylindrical wall portion has a top end with a cutting edge (13); a centring mandrel (20) arranged coaxially within the cylindrical wall portion, a free end (22) of which reaches past the cutting edge; rotation driving means (300) for rotating the cutting member with respect to the carrying member, and suction means (401) for creating a vacuum inside the interior space of the cutting member, having an axially movable ejecting member (30) within the interior space of the cutting member and ejection driving means (402) for axially moving the ejecting member. |
