PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a station side device which does not lower transmission efficiency while restraining the device scale from growing.SOLUTION: The station side device comprises: N pieces of electrical signal processing units (N=integer equal to or greater than 1); and an optical signal processing unit. The optical signal processing unit includes: K pieces of wavelength variable light sources (K=integer equal to or greater than 2) which generate a downlink optical signal from a downlink electrical signal by changing wavelengths according to a wavelength setting signal; an electric switch having P pieces of input ports and K pieces of output ports, the electric switch sending a downlink electrical signal to one of the K pieces of wavelength variable light sources by switching a path depending on a path switching signal; and an optical signal selection unit having K pieces of input ports and Q pieces of output ports (Q=integer equal to or greater than 1), the optical signal selection unit selecting a downlink optical signal generated by one of the K pieces of wavelength variable light sources and outputting the selected signal. |
