<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gas barrier paper with high gas barrier property as well as low humidity dependence of gas barrier property, and to provide a package using the same. <P>SOLUTION: Gas barrier paper comprises at least one water dispersible or water soluble resin pre-coated on at least one side of paper 1 in such an amount that a resin solid after drying ranges from 0.5 to 20 g/cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>. A pre-coating layer 2 of the gas barrier paper has a Bekk smoothness of 200,000 sec or more and also has such surface property that: a water drop moves or falls when the paper is positioned at a vertical angle after standing for 5 seconds after 100 mg of the water drop is dropped; and a water drop does not fall if the inclination angle is 25 degree or less after standing for 60 seconds. The pre-coating layer 2 has Cobb water absorbency of 0.03-15 g/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and a contact angle of water drop of 5-60 degrees. On the pre-coating layer 2, a gas barrier resin layer 3 is provided which contains 75 wt.% or more of crystalline polyvinyl alcohol-based resin by a coating method. The obtained paper 1 has an oxygen gas permeability of 20 cc/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>24 hr/atm or less at 23°C and 65% RH. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
