PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weatherstrip of an automobile, easily installable in an automobile body, and superior in sealability.SOLUTION: This weatherstrip includes at least a weatherstrip body 2, and a drying high foam rubber sealer 3 arranged on a bottom surface of an installation base part 1a of the weatherstrip and possessing a coating material 4 on a sheet metal installing surface 3a. The coating material 4 is constituted of a modified polyolefine resin, a water absorbing agent, and a dilution solvent. A slidability promoting agent can be added to the coating material 4.
