<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding type cart that has a simple and lightweight constitution and can achieve a sturdy structure when an object is loaded thereon. <P>SOLUTION: The folding type cart 1 with a basket 3 for accommodating an object to be carried has a foldable square link mechanism 2 which is developed in a rectangular shape, and having at least a hinge 6 at each corner part of the rectangular shape. When the square link mechanism 2 is developed, the basket 3 is fitted therein. When the basket 3 is fitted, the square link mechanism 2 is kept in a developed condition. When the basket 3 is detached from the square link mechanism 2, the square link mechanism 2 is permitted to fold. The basket 3 forms a reinforcing member to reinforce the square link mechanism 2 in the developed condition, and also forms a stopper for preventing the square link mechanism 2 from returning to the folded condition.
