PURPOSE: A short circuit inspection method of a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided to rapidly perform the measurement for the generation of electrification short by the foreign material mixture. CONSTITUTION: A data collector determines whether the maximum value of the voltage between the positive/negative electrodes of the lithium ion secondary battery is less than the predetermined threshold value or not (S10). The data collector determines as the electrification short if the determination result is less than the threshold value (S20). The data collector determines as the insulation destruction short if the voltage rises by the voltage authorization but the maintenance time is short and the voltage drops rapidly (S50). The data collector determines as normal if the voltage rises by the voltage authorization and the voltage drop from the maximum voltage is steady (S60).
