A foldable bicycle 100 includes a frame 105, a front wheel assembly 115, and a rear wheel assembly 120. The frame 105 defines a pivot axis (which may further be defined by a pivot and locking mechanism 135). The front wheel assembly 115 is disposed on the frame 105 and configured to rotate about the pivot axis. The rear wheel assembly 120 (which may be centreless, spokeless, hubless etc.) is disposed on the frame 105 and defines an opening 215 for receiving the front wheel assembly 115 when the bicycle 100 is folded. The pivot and locking mechanism 135 may include a base and a locking housing to receive the base, the base may further define holes which engage pins coming from the housing. The mechanism 135 my further include a spring to bias the base to the housing. The bicycle may further have a front wheel 140 with a hub 145 and a motor 150 attached to the hub. |
