The toileting receptacle 1 comprises a bowl section with a base 2 and at least one wall, which define a container for human waste, and a lid 38 configured to nest within the bowl in a first stowed configuration and to close the bowl in a second, inverted configuration to cover and retain waste. The or each wall of the bowl preferably comprises a ledge 24 between the upper edge and the base such that the upper portion of the wall is stepped outwardly from the lower portion of the bowl, with the lid including a flanged section 46 which engages the ledge in both the first and second configuration. Both the base and lid preferably include a ridge 34,44 to enhance grip between the base and lid in the stowed configuration. Also claimed is a waste receptacle with a separate, removable, liquid container configured to be housed within the bowl to collect urine. |
