Disclosed are a device for measuring a putting distance and a method for measuring a putting distance using the same which can determine left and right slopes as well as measure putting distance in golf. The device for measuring the putting distance according to the present invention comprises: a laser output control unit for receiving an operation signal of a microcomputer to turn a dot laser pointer on/off and controlling the output strength of a laser beam; a digital angle sensor for measuring a projection angle of the laser beam output by the dot laser pointer; the dot laser pointer receiving an electric signal from the laser output control unit to generate and condense a visible band wavelength of the laser beam of and forming a laser projection path; the microcomputer connected to the laser output control unit, the digital angle sensor, and the dot laser pointer to calculate the putting distance from the position of a ball to a putting target position; and a display unit displaying status information of the laser output control unit, the digital angle sensor, the dot laser pointer, and the microcomputer, wherein the microcomputer calculates a real distance (DM) from the position of the ball to the putting target position and outputs the calculated value to the display unit.
