The present invention relates to a composition comprising Streptococcus thermophilus HY9012 as an active ingredient having halitosis-inhibition activities, by having neutralization effects of a volatile sulfuric compound and antimicrobial activities with respect to Porphyromonas gingivalis for generating a volatile sulfuric compound which can be a cause of the generation of halitosis. The composition can be used for a product such as a pharmaceutical composition, a food composition, etc., comprising Streptococcus thermophilus HY9012 as an active ingredient for inhibiting halitosis.
