Circuitry for use in a primary unit of an inductive power transfer system to generate an electromagnetic field so as to transfer power wirelessly by electromagnetic induction to one or more secondary units of the system, each secondary unit being separable from the primary unit, the circuitry comprising: a drivable portion that has a frequency response having two main resonant peaks and a substantially flat portion therebetween, such that the driving circuit supplies the drivable portion with a drive signal having a fundamental frequency positioned in between the main resonant peaks and in the flat portion.
