The present invention provides a battery pack with improved safety capable of preventing or minimizing the occurrence of ignition or explosion even if a pointed body penetrates the battery back. The battery pack according to one aspect of the present invention comprises: a cell assembly comprising a first battery unit and a second battery unit electrically connected to the first battery unit; a first plate unit consisting of a first plate and a first pair plate spaced apart from the first plate to face the first plate and covering at least part of the cell assembly; and a first current blocking member which blocks current when the first plate and the first pair plate are electrically interconnected.
