An imaging device is a camera which photographs a common subject in synchronization with other cameras. The imaging device comprises an imaging unit, a wireless processing unit, and a processor. The processor transmits and receives a state of each camera with respect to photographing of the common subject by using the wireless processing unit, compares states of a plurality of cameras, and determines whether the camera functions as a master camera or a slave camera for setting a photographing condition of the common subject, in accordance with the comparison result. When the processor determines that the camera functions as the master camera, the processor transmits photographing information obtained or determined by the camera for photographing the common subject to the slave camera. When the processor determines that the camera functions as the slave camera, the processor sets the photographing condition based on the photographing information received from the master camera, and photographs the common subject in synchronization with other cameras by using the imaging unit. |
