This method is for constructing a cylindrical tank having a metal inner tank and a concrete outer tank. The method is provided with: a step for providing a knuckle support (10) to a knuckle plate (9); a step for attaching a gondola rail (13) to the knuckle support (10); a step for assembling the inner tank by hoisting the knuckle plate (9) by means of a jack-up device (19) and attaching an inner tank side plate (7) underneath the raised knuckle plate; a step for attaching the inner tank roof (14) onto the knuckle plate (9); a step for attaching the outer tank roof (26) above the inner tank roof (14); a step, after assembling the inner tank, for affixing the outer tank roof (26) to an outer tank side wall (3); and a step, after affixing the outer tank roof (26), for releasing the knuckle support (10) from the knuckle plate (9), hoisting the knuckle support (10), raising the gondola rail (13), and attaching the gondola rail (13) to the outer tank roof (26). By means of the abovementioned configuration, it is possible to provide a method for constructing a cylindrical tank that is such that the gondola rail can be installed at a low cost in a short period of time at different heights. |
