A content providing system based on position information recognition according to the present invention comprises: a plurality of position signal outputting devices having different coverage; a user terminal for transmitting access information on the position signal outputting devices to a service server, when a position signal outputted from any one of the position signal outputting devices is recognized, and enabling a position signal receiving module to receive the position signal outputted from a position signal outputting device having narrow coverage; and a service server for extracting at least one to be transmitted to a user terminal from content information related to any one of the position signal outputting devices corresponding to the received access information so as to provide the same to the user terminal, when the access information is received from the user terminal.
