The purpose of the present invention is to display high-quality video even in a case where a frame period varies from one frame to another. A video display system includes a video output device 11 that outputs a video signal and a display device 12 that displays video on the basis of the video signal output by the video output device 11. The video output device 11 has a drawing time predicting unit 104 and a transmitting unit 102. The drawing time predicting unit 104 calculates frame interval information indicative of an interval from output of a video signal for a first frame to output of a video signal for a second frame that follows the first frame. The transmitting unit 102 transmits the frame interval information calculated by the drawing time predicting unit 104 to the display device 12. |
