PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication support system capable of smooth communication even in a situation in which the freedom of a body is restricted or the behavior of uttering words is hesitated.SOLUTION: A communication support system comprises: a first touch panel display for a supported person which displays an image necessary for support and into which a supported person inputs information for support; a second touch panel display for a supporter which displays an image necessary for support and into which a supporter inputs information for support; and a communication support control mechanism which is connected in a both-way communication possible manner with the first touch panel display for a supported person and the second touch panel display for a supporter, and which accepts input information from one touch panel display, performs prescribed processing on the basis of the accepted input information, and outputs information to the other touch panel display.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
