PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tyrosinase inhibitor which includes a new ingredient as an active ingredient.SOLUTION: The technical features of a tyrosinase inhibitor are as follows: (1) a tyrosinase inhibitor which includes a plant and/or extract of Caryophyllaceae in the genus Dianthus as active ingredient; (2) a tyrosinase inhibitor which includes mangiferin as active ingredient; (3) a tyrosinase inhibitor which includes at least one of the mangiferin and a plant and/or extract of Caryophyllaceae in the genus Dianthus as active ingredient; (4) a skin-whitening agent which includes one of (1)-(3) as active ingredient; and (5) a skin external preparation which includes (4) as active ingredient.SELECTED DRAWING: None
