PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag which enables a cover to unfailingly reduce the opening of a variable vent hole with a simple structure.SOLUTION: The upper end sides of a tether 25, which is connected with an inner part of an air bag body part 11 at a lower end part, are inserted into through holes 37 to be connected with ends of a cover 29 which is located outside of the air bag body part 11 while crossing a variable vent hole 28. In an initial expansion state of the air bag body part 11, the opening of the variable vent hole 28 is set to a relatively large degree. In a state where the air bag body part 11 has expanded, the ends of the cover 29 are pulled by the tether 25 pulled by the air bag body part 11 to make the opening of the variable vent hole 28 relatively small. Thus, the cover 29 unfailingly reduces the opening of the variable vent hole 28 with a simple structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
