This invention provides a dynamo-electric machine that excels in terms of rotor strength, can be manufactured at low cost, and makes it possible to increase the amount of torque generated by the rotor. Two holes (35a) and (35b) per pole are formed in the rotor (3) in the circumferential direction thereof. Said holes (35a) and (35b) connect to the outer circumference of the rotor, and in each pole, an outer-edge section (33) that is outwards of the two holes in the radial direction of the rotor is joined to a core section (31) on the inside in the radial direction of the rotor by a center bridge (32) between the two holes. The center bridges (32) are made non-magnetic or are made to have low magnetic permeability, making it possible to reduce flux leakage via the center bridges (32) even if wide center bridges (32) are used. |
