摘要 The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for monitoring a fuel cell stack. The apparatus for monitoring a fuel cell stack according to the present invention includes: a measurement unit for applying a monitoring signal of multiple frequency including a plurality of sine waves as a monitoring signal for responding a frequency to a stack to measure a stack current or stack voltage; a THD calculation unit for converting a frequency of the stack current or the stack voltage to calculate a total harmonic distortion (THD); a THD variation calculation unit for calculating variation of TFD per unit time using the total harmonic distortion; and a monitoring unit for inputting stack information such as the THD, variation of TFD per unit time, stack current, stack voltage and variation of stack current per unit time to monitor status of the stack, wherein the monitoring unit uses a purge logic or a neural network. As such, according to the present invention, the condition of the stack can be monitored using an intelligent determination device even upon stack operation in a dynamic condition. In addition, normality or abnormality of the stack can be easily determined using total harmonic distortion and variation thereof.
