PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a railway vehicle, which attains good seating feeling while using environmentally friendly members and enables easy adjustment and installation, with a simple structure at a low price.SOLUTION: A seat for a railway vehicle includes: S springs 10S which are tightly stretched over a fore and aft direction on an upper surface of a seat frame 10 and formed into an S shape in a plan view; a resin elastic member 20 which is placed on the S springs 10S and formed into a rectangular parallelepiped shape; and a seat seating part 30 in which a rectangular parallelepiped shape recessed part for housing the resin elastic member is formed at a bottom part and a nonwoven fabric made of a thermoplastic resin is formed in a laminating manner. The respective S springs 10S are formed into a flat shape in a side surface view. The resin elastic member 20 is disposed between the S springs 10S and the seat seating part 30 so as to include a seating region which corresponds to an area ranging from the back side of thighs of a seating person to an ischium nodal point P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
