PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railroad vehicle truck with a journal box structure, capable of greatly reducing the temperature of lubricant while using running wind and saving cost.SOLUTION: A journal box structure 1 of a railroad vehicle truck DS includes a front lid 20; a journal box 10; and a rear lid 30. The front lid 20 covers an axle end 2a of an axle 2. The journal box 10 rotatably supports a journal 2b of the axle 2 via a double-row tapered roller bearing 50. The rear lid 30 covers an oil thrower 2c of the axle 2 and seals lubricant with an oil seal 33. The journal box structure 1 provides oil bath lubrication in the front lid 20, the journal box 10, and a lower side in the rear lid 30, circulates lubricant around the axle 2 in response to the rotation of the axle 2, and lubricates rollers 53 of the double-row tapered roller bearing 50. A lowermost end of the journal box 10 is a horizontal surface 13, and a heat sink 60 including a plurality of fins 62 extending downward and enabling running wind to pass through clearances between the respective fins 62 in a rail direction is attached to this horizontal surface 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
